Back in the year 2000, a small group of activist artists teamed up with a programmer to develop a nonprofit online museum of environmental art called greenmuseum.org. We launched officially on the Winter Solstice of 2001. For close to 10 years we were an active pioneering website highlighting and connecting projects, artists and their collaborative partners from around the world. We served as a center for information, discussion and promotion of art that served our communities and ecosystems. The website, nonprofit organization, and even the URL, are no longer active.
